I am committed to upholding dignity, respect, and safety for every individual. My background includes international experience, work with military members and veterans, advocacy for persons with disabilities, and service on local community health boards. I recognize the unequal distribution of opportunity and privilege and am dedicated to ongoing learning, community engagement, and meaningful reform. I strive to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive space for people of all genders, sexual orientations, backgrounds and identities.
My practice in Ottawa, Ontario, is situated on the traditional, unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin people. I extend my acknowledgment and respect to the people who have lived on this land since time immemorial. I respect the traditional knowledge, customs and traditions of Métis, Inuit and First Nations peoples, and recognize my responsibility to take action towards healing and reconciliation.
